DOES IT FRY sensation Darren Dowling - otherwise known as Dazza - has revealed he feels as though he has walked away with the Come Dine With Me title.
Last night's hilarious episode left viewers wowed and contestants stunned after the internet funnyman served up the show's first-ever fully deep-fried menu.
Despite receiving a mark of only 14 from fellow candidates, the local celebrity has told how he feels like he has "already won the show" but admits he probably won't host a dinner party again.
“Ach, I feel like I have already won the show", he said.
"I went into it just for fun and now I’m in it for the experience.
“Looking forward I probably won’t host anymore dinner parties, it was a bit too stressful for me to be honest. I’ll probably just invite my next guests round for a Dominos.”
The Glasgow guests were treated to a three-course meal of deep-fried treats including chicken nuggets and caviar, lasagne and a deep-fried Mars Bar to finish up.
But the innovative dishes weren't suited to all taste buds as some guests ended up spitting out some of their contents into napkins.
Darren laughed: "I think they messed up a wee bit because I had a film crew following me about as I was cooking – I’m no used to that.
“Poor Doreen actually got the worst Mars Bar because it slid out of the batter in the fryer, so she basically just got a lump of batter and a bit of ice cream. The chocolate was all melted in the fryer when it was time to serve up.
“I probably got marked fairly – I promised them a deep-fried Mars Bar with ice-cream and they got a slither of ice-cream because the scoop broke.”
The social media star - who has racked up millions of views by deep-frying anything from Pot Noodles to cat food - hosted a game of Heads Up! after the meal, which was sadly cut out of last night's episode.
"As ego-fuelled as it sounds, I think I gave the producers some quality content last night and that’s why they skipped the entertainment part of the night", said Darren.
“The reaction so far has been incredible – my phone is constantly pinging with notifications, it’s never-ending. People have loved the show."
Since it aired on Monday, Glaswegians have even called on the broadcaster to offer the star his own programme.
“I’ll take any offers that I can get”, Dazza laughed.
“If Channel 4 or anyone else wants to make a show with me, they just need to pay me in scran. Maybe not deep-fried food though, I want to live a long and healthy life.”
Since the series was filmed in July, Darren told how he and some of his fellow contestants have become good friends and even have a group chat named 'The Come Dine With Me Support Group'.
He said: "It’s quite funny to see what we’ve all been saying about each other.
“I’m going to have Doreen and Robert round on Friday to do a Twitch stream so we are going to talk rubbish for half-an-hour on that, which will be nice to catch-up.”
And Darren has told how things get "fruity" in tonight's episode as an argument breaks out between him and Kasia.
"Things got a bit fruity", he said.
“As it was Doreen’s night, she wasn’t having any of it – she just shot her down. So tonight’s viewers might have a little bit of drama to look forward to.”
Tonight's episode can be viewed at 5.30pm or can be watched back on the broadcaster's catch-up service, All 4.
The Channel Four show sees four contestants cook and host a dinner party over four nights, before rating each others cooking and entertainment efforts. The winner will walk away with a £1000 grand prize.
