ROAD and rail transport providers have issued warnings to travellers today after Glasgow and the West has been battered by heavy rain overnight.
A yellow met office weather warning is in place across the UK currently.
Traffic Scotland told drivers to take care this morning and allow extra time for their journey.

Network Rail assured passengers they would have crews on standby today in order to deal with problems as they arise. They said: "We're due extremely heavy rain and high winds in many areas this morning. To help deal with any issues that arise, we have more staff on duty with specialist kit to deal with any problems."

ScotRail have said services are currently running well, but there may be some disruption on rural routes later today.
