POLICE locked down a Glasgow road last night after reports that a man and woman had allegedly been seriously assaulted.
An area of Govan Road was cordoned off at around 9.20pm after emergency services made their way to the scene.
It is understood traffic was diverted via Orkney Street and Southcroft Street and multiple crews were on the scene.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and will appear at court on Monday, October 4.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "
“A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged after officers were called to a report that a man and a woman had been seriously assaulted on Govan Road, Glasgow, around 9pm on Thursday, 30 September, 2021.
“A 54-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“The 31-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 4 October.”
