THOUSANDS of activists will march through Glasgow on the first day of COP26 next month in calls for climate justice.
The protest will be the COP26 Coalition's flagship demonstration as 20 others take place across towns and cities in the UK including London and Edinburgh.
Crowds will gather at Kelvingrove Park around midday and will march to Glasgow Green for a rally at 3pm on Saturday, November 6.

The Scottish Trade Union Congress and Unison are among those who will be backing the demonstrations.
Francis Stuart, from the Scottish Trade Union Congress said: "We need governments across the world to get serious about climate justice. Workers and communities across the world, particularly those in the Global South, are at the sharp end of climate change, but once again their voices are not being heard at the UN Climate Talks.
"Instead of repeating the mistakes of the past, we need to ensure a Just Transition for workers and communities. In the UK, this means immediately investing in democratically run public transport, house retrofit programmes and the renewables supply chain to create the green jobs of the future.”
The march will be led by indigenous people set to be affected most by climate change.
Calfin Lafkenche, the Chief coordinator Minga Indígena COP26, who will be leading the Glasgow march said: “Indigenous peoples protect the largest reserves of biodiversity on the planet, living harmoniously with Mother Earth, we are also the first to be affected by the effects of climate change.
"The 130 delegates of Minga Indigena come from the deepest part of the jungle, from the highest mountains, from the most arid desert in the world, from the most remote islands of the continent, from the northernmost places in Alaska and the southernmost parts of Patagonia, carrying our fires and our waters with a message of union and an urgent call to global action for the climate: that as humanity we turn our gaze towards the origin and the responsibility that falls to us at this time in history to ensure the life of all beings on the planet. We are all united, we are all family, and we are running out of time.”
