Morrisons has issued an urgent recall over a it’s own brand chocolate-covered ice cream amid health fears.
Amour Classic Vanilla Ice Cream is being recalled over fears it may contain pieces of plastic.
The Food Standards Agency issued the health warning over the dairy product stating “the possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat”.
Morrisons issues health warning over Amour Vanilla Ice Cream
A product recall notice issued by Morrisons read: "Morrisons is recalling this product because there is a risk that some packs may contain pieces of plastic.
"No other products or best before dates are affected."
The supermarket added: "No other products are affected by this issue.
"We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."
