A HISTORIC church is set to be demolished after Glasgow City Council approved a building warrant application.
The former Partick Baptist Church on Crow Road will be knocked down.
Unknown developers lodged plans with the council last month which have now been granted.
The red sandstone church was built in 1927 by architect Andrew Black who influenced much of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's work.

It was not a listed building or in an area of conservation.
It is not yet clear if there are plans for the site.
It has previously operated as a West End branch for the Queen's Park Baptist Church but they have not been able to use the building in over two years.
Glasgow MSP Paul Sweeney said he will urge the Baptist Church to look at alternatives to demolition. He said: "This is a disgraceful decision. Partick Baptist Church was built by Andrew Black, his last before his death in 1927.
"He was an influential teacher of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. I'll contact the church to discuss support for an alternative to demolition.
"Queen's Park would love to reopen it."
