A POIGNANT tribute has been paid to Esther Brown saying "she would have been the first to volunteer" at Glasgow's COP26 after her killer was convicted on Friday.
Esther was raped and murdered by Jason Graham at her home in May.
Beast Graham pleaded guilty on Friday and is due to be sentenced in November.
Now, a West End charity has shared images of Esther in happier times helping her local community.
Woodlands Community Garden posted a series of pictures on Facebook showing Esther smiling with fellow volunteers as she helped out in the garden and at events.
The touching post read: "It's been an emotional and challenging week for our staff team, as we learnt more details about Esther's violent death from Friday's court case.
"To counter this, we thought we'd share some happier images with you.
"With just 10 days to go to the start of our Climate Emergency COP26 programme we are all missing Esther.
"We know that she would have been the first volunteer to arrive to help at our COP26 events and the last to leave.
"Let's make it a fortnight of friendship, compassion for the environment, international solidarity and a growing community of people from both near and far.
"It's what Esther would have wanted and it's what we want too."
