A MAN was led away "bleeding very badly from the back of his head" following an alleged attack near Central Station.
An eyewitness in a nearby shop claimed shouting and screaming was heard on Union Street in the moments after the individual was allegedly pounced on near the transport hub's entrance.

As we have previously told, the street has been locked down by officers this afternoon as they probe the incident. Our pictures show forensic cops on the scene with others standing guard.
The eyewitness, who worked across the road, said: "I did not see anything at first but I heard shouting and looked up to see a man running along the street. He was bleeding very badly from the back of his head."
The witness then claimed he saw three officers walk the man down towards Jamaica Street.
Police vans and officers remained on the scene this afternoon amid investigations. The neighbouring stores and Caledonian Hotel had been cordoned by police tape, and a forensic photographer was at the scene.
Police have confirmed that two arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
One man and one woman were arrested, and one man was taken to hospital where he remains.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Union Street, outside Glasgow Central Station, at around 1.10pm on Thursday, October 21, 2021, following an altercation involving three people.
“A man and a woman have been arrested in connection with the incident, and a second man taken to hospital for treatment.
“A police presence remains while enquiries are conducted at the scene."
