A TEEN has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Rutherglen yesterday.
Police raced to the scene after receiving reports of a serious assault on Farmeloan Road at around 12.05am on Thursday.
A 51-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was said to be in a "critical" condition.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Rutherglen.
"Around 12.05am, police received a report a man had been seriously assaulted in Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen.
"An 18-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, October 22, 2021."
