From the city centre's Absent Ear to the Southside's Mr Lincoln, Glasgow loves a speakeasy-style bar and we can't help but agree.
There's something about being tucked away from the outside world while sipping on an ice-cold cocktail that makes an evening out feel infinitely more special.
The latest of these intimate 'secret' spaces to open is ASF, hidden directly under popular brunch spot Derby Lane in Finnieston.
Open now after two years of preparations, this New York-inspired bar serves an impressive selection of classic cocktails, bar snacks and dinner options like grilled brioche sandwiches or stacked burgers.
For that extra authentic feel, they’ve even partnered up with local bagel legends Bross Bagels to bring a taste of Brooklyn to Glasgow.

Described as ‘dark, stylish and cosy’ you’ll find the entrance to AFS tucked away behind the restrooms of Derby Lane or via a mysterious unmarked door on Argyle street.
A spokesperson for the bar said: "AFS, the hottest insider rumour on the Finnieston circuit, is now a reality after more than two years in the making.
"Theatrical cocktails, late-night low-down jazz vibes, secret bars hidden in plain sight for those who know and them alone.
"It’s too damn cool to be allowed.
"We’re open now, so why not discover Glasgow’s new secret.
"Just don’t tell everyone…we don’t want to spoil our hidden gem, do we?"
