A popular Cumbernauld steakhouse has announced its closure after seven years in business.
Milano Steakhouse in Auchenkilns Park shared a Facebook post this evening saying: "It's with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the closing of Milano steakhouse.
"We want to thank all our wonderful guests and employees, for supporting us over the last 7 years.
"We are extremely humbled that so many embraced our restaurant and that we were able to succeed as long as we did.
"For our restaurant to thrive in Cumbernauld for 7 years, is an accomplishment of which we are incredibly proud of.
"We could not have done this without all the love and support from all of you."
Hundreds have commented on the post to express their sadness with one saying: "What a shame really loved Milano, the only place in Cumbernauld to go for a special meal.
"It will be missed."
