SCOTLAND has recorded over 3,800 new cases of Covid-19 and 20 reported deaths in the past 24 hours, the latest figures show.
The Scottish Government confirmed that 3,867 people have reported positive test results for Covid-19 since Friday.
This is an increase from yesterday's figure of 2,732 new cases.
A further 43,735 new tests for Covid-19 were conducted that reported results, of which 9.6% were positive.
This is an increase from Friday's positivity rate of 7.7%.
In the last 24 hours, 20 deaths of someone who tested positive for Covid-19 within the previous 28 days were registered.
There were 926 people in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19, with 65 patients in intensive care.
So far, Scottish vaccination figures stand at 4,315,802 people having received their first dose of a covid vaccination and 3,905,177 people having received their second dose.
The Scottish Government notes that today's testing and case numbers are still affected by a data flow issue at the Glasgow Lighthouse Laboratory which has since been resolved but the backlog of results has impacted on figures over the last couple of days.
