IANIS HAGI lamented Rangers' mentality and sluggish start as Steven Gerrard's side came from behind to draw with Brondby.
The champions needed a second half equaliser from Hagi to cancel out Leon Balogun's own goal on the stroke of half time.
Rangers now head into their meeting with Sparta Prague at Ibrox knowing victory would put them on the brink of a place in the knockout rounds this term.
But Hagi was frustrated with another mixed performance as Gerrard's side had to settle for a point on a night where a much-needed win seemed there for the taking.
Hagi told BT Sport: “It was a draw. We came here to win and we didn’t win.
"Away from home, I know it is the Europa League and a tough competition but we wanted to win.
“Our mentality should have been better from the beginning. We are Rangers and we have to come here and win and not wait until the second half to go out and attack.
“At least we took that point and we have to win the last two games to be in the next round.
“We wanted to be in a better position come the game with Sparta Prague but we still have to win because the game is at Ibrox.
“We know we will have the fans with us and they will help and push us on. We have to deliver.
“I don’t want to talk about last season. This season is a new season and we have to have the mentality to win.
“When we step out on the pitch we need to have the mentality to win. We don’t have to wait for the opposition to score before we go out and win.
“From now on, I hope we score first. The team reacted really well and we came back so you have to give us some credit. We know we are Rangers and we need to do better.”
