A MAN has died in hospital two weeks after he was allegedly assaulted in Rutherglen.
The 51-year-old died on Thursday according to police.
We previously reported on the alleged assault in Farmeloan Road which took place just after midnight on Thursday, October 21.
Police today confirmed that the man has since died.

We also previously reported that an 18-year-old has been charged in connection with his death.
He was due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, October 22.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 51-year-old man who was injured in Farmeloan Road, Rutherglen, at around 12.05am on Thursday, October 21, 2021, died in hospital on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
"An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, October 22, 2021."
