DISCOUNT supermarket Lidl has made moves to open up a store in the city's East End.
A planning application has been submitted to Glasgow City Council to build a new supermarket with an associated car park featuring 116 spaces at as site on Springfield Road/Dalmarnock Road.
The site was once used as a bus depot.
Planning chiefs are expected to make a decision on the plan by Christmas Eve. The last date for comments is December 6.

The move comes after we revealed in the summer that Lidl had earmarked five locations they hope to open stores in Glasgow.
Cathcart, Drumchapel, Ibrox, Merchant City and Summerston are being eyed up for new Lidl stores.
The move is part of Lidl's ambitious plans to have 1,000 stores across the UK by the end of 2023.
