A COVID vaccination centre is moving in order to speed up the programme.
The NHS Lanarkshire centre at Ballerup Hall in East Kilbride is temporarily moving to the Alistair McCoist Complex, also in the town.
It is hoped that the change of venue will allow more people in to receive their vaccination in the run up to the Christmas period.
The new venue will be up and running from November 22 and will remain until December 31. After this, the clinic will return to the Ballerup Hall.
All scheduled appointments from November 22 will have the new venue on the letter, so people will not need to change their appointments.
Tom Elrick, General Manager for the COVID-19 vaccination service in Lanarkshire, said: “The move will allow us to accelerate our vaccination programme and increase the number of people we can vaccinate each day in the run up to the festive season. It will also allow maintenance to be carried out in the Ballerup Hall, without any break in service to our communities.”
