A MAN was rushed to hospital last night following an incident near Glasgow.
Officers responded to the Blair Road area of Coatbridge following reports of an assault at around 9.30pm.
A 29-year-old man suffered a serious leg injury that required hospital treatment.
Police are investigating and urge anyone with information that could help with enquiries to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 9.30pm on Friday, November 12, to a report of an assault in the Blair Road area of Coatbridge.
"A 29-year-old man sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie for treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. Anyone with information that could help with our enquiries is asked to contact officers via 101, quoting Incident Number 3777 of Friday, November 12, 2021.”
