A MAIN West End road is currently closed to traffic due to an ongoing police incident.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 10.10am due to concern for a person at a bridge over the River Kelvin.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is currently at the scene along with Police Scotland.
Drivers are being asked to avoid Queen Margaret Drive and consider alternative routes where possible.
The road has been shut between Oban Drive and Great Western Road.
Motorists should follow police guidance and diversions that are in place.
A statement from the council's roads department said: "Road users should consider alternate routes if possible.
"Follow police guidance."
First Glasgow has also issed a list of diversions for its 8 and 90 services, with changes to its normal routes from Byres Road at Great Western Road, Kirklee Road, Tesco Maryhill Road.
The 90 is taking its normal route and the 8 is turning left along the same diversion to Partick from Maryhill Road.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are currently in attendance in Queen Margaret Drive, Glasgow, after reports of a concern for a person.
"The road is currently closed."
