After weeks of speculation, the team behind city centre favourite Buck’s Bar have at last revealed the exact location of their new restaurant.

Fans of the popular fried chicken and cocktail spot have been eagerly awaiting the news after a cryptic post on social media revealed only that Buck's would soon be opening a third bar in the city's Southside.

The bar has now confirmed that they will be moving in at 1021 on Cathcart road, the former home of Italian restaurant Sapori d'Italia.

They said: "Today we signed off on our third Buck’s site on Cathcart Road, Mount Florida on the south side of Glasgow.

"The work now begins and we will be looking to launch a bar, restaurant, takeaway and delivery service January 2022."

Sapori d'Italia has been in business for ten years and took to social media to express their gratitude towards the Mount Florida community for their continued support.

They said: "Sapori d ‘Italia Ends TodayM..it’s time to move on Our Family and our Kids need us.

"A special Thank You to all of you for your support and helping to reach our achievement

"Maybe see you again in the future….Mount Florida is a great spot and a lovely community!"
