A 24-year-old man was stabbed during a disturbance in Calderwood square last night.
The incident took place between 9pm and 10pm on Wednesday, November 24 and resulted in the man being rushed to hospital for his injuries.
A large police presence remained in attendance at the scene this morning to investigate what is now being treated as an attempted murder.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "An investigation is under way following a disturbance in Calderwood Square on Wednesday, November 24, resulting in a 24 year old man being stabbed.
"The incident is being treated as attempted murder and enquiries are ongoing.
