PICTURES have emerged of forensic officers scouring for clues after a young man was stabbed in East Kilbride.
The 24-year-old was rushed to the hospital following the incident on Wednesday night.
Detectives are treating the stabbing as attempted murder. They have launched an investigation.
Today, specialist forensic officers could be seen gathering evidence in Calderwood Square where the disturbance took place. A crime scene photographer was also in the area which remained sealed off whilst uniformed officers stood guard.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "An investigation is underway following a disturbance in Calderwood Square on Wednesday, November 24, resulting in a 24-year-old man being stabbed.
"The incident is being treated as attempted murder and enquiries are ongoing."
