A nationally-acclaimed chainsaw wood sculptor has enhanced Kilmardinny Loch by turning a resting place for walkers into a work of art.
Iain Chalmers- from Chainsaw Creations- carved three beautiful new seats with woodland colours and representations of magical animals to welcome visitors.
The work is part of ongoing improvements to the park and surroundings, including biodiversity enhancement work and drainage improvements to Mosshead open space.
A spokesperson for East Dunbartonshire Council said: "I am delighted that the Council was able to support this project.
"The Loch is a Local Nature Reserve and has great importance in the area, popular with local people and visitors. Thanks to the wonderful craftsmanship of Iain Chalmers we have three beautiful carved log seats to enhance a wonderful local attraction."
They added: "Chainsaw Creations have done a truly fantastic job with the benches. Not only are they somewhere for walkers to have a rest but they are also a work of art that fits perfectly into their natural surroundings.
"The carved log seats are striking and a brilliant addition to Kilmardinny Loch. I'm sure everyone will be pleased with the results."
