A Dennistoun eatery has been named as Glasgow's cafe of the year at the 2021 Food Awards Scotland.
Scran on Alexandra Parade fought off tough competition to win the prestigious title at a ceremony at the Marriot hotel last night.
Scran has been open since 2018 and the team pride themselves on being 'not just another cafe'.
Their inventive menu is full of unique dishes like cajun and maply ox cheek brunch buns or decadent breakfast rolls filled with breaded whole tailed scampi.
In an Instagram post from last night's awards, they said: "Officially best cafe in Glasgow!
Massive thanks to everyone who nominated us, all you amazing Scran Fans and most importantly the team who make Scran the best cafe in Glasgow."
Fans of the East End spot have been sending the cafe warm messages of support with one saying: "Congratulations team Scran. No surprise!"
Well done to all the team!
