THE people of Pollok, and beyond, are pleading for the new potential owners of Silverburn to bring a Primark store to the shopping centre.
We previously reported that the current owners are in talks over the sale of the centre for around £140 million.
Silverburn was bought for around £300 million by Hammerson in 2009.

With the talks of a potential sale, we asked our readers: "What would you like the new owners to do with Silverburn Shopping Centre if it is sold?"
More than 110 people responded, with the majority of those asking for a Primark store.
Adele MacDuff said: "Primark and a spoons type of restaurant."
Michele Farrell suggested: "Primark and a pound shop."
Christopher Hamill wrote: "Shops that aren't aimed at the upper-middle class. Pollok is working class. The shops should reflect that."
Carole Sabah added: "Make the old Debenhams a Primark, and a decent wee pub grub restaurant/bar."
Meanwhile, several others said they would like the centre to be renamed the "Pollok Centre".
Silverburn is built on land that was previously the Pollok Centre, which was built in the 1970s.
Other suggestions included a pound shop.
Marie Lehane said: "Primark, Iceland, Farmfoods, pound shop. Take a look at the old photos of Pollok Centre to get ideas."
Leigh Granger joked: "I don’t think anyone has mentioned this but we all need a primark. Aw and a wee pound shop, thanks."
