A brand new bar has opened in Merchant City offering customers a healthy mix of 'bevy, banter and beats'.
Located at 60 Candleriggs Merchant Square, Marmalade Skies makes for the perfect spot to visit for a well-earned tipple post-Christmas shopping trip or for a laid back catch up with friends.

The relaxed 'New york loft' inspired interior gives the space an industrial chic feel, with artwork that showcases Merchant Square’s rich history as a fruit market.
The bar is run by Manager and Proprietor Nicholas Hay who took a leap of faith after learning to find the joy in an otherwise stressful year.
Telling his touching story he said: "I took inspiration from The Beatles song ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’ for the bar’s name as a dedication to my niece who joined the family during the first lockdown of 2020.
"Lucy came along at a time when I was thinking about what I wanted to do long term and I’ve always had the dream of having my own bar.
"I thought, if great things can come along at difficult times, there was no better time to try and make the dream a reality."
Nicholas feels he has now found the perfect location to do just that and is settling into the neighbourhood nicely.

He said: “I love the atmosphere and neighbourly vibe of Merchant City so it was the perfect fit with some of the city’s most exciting independent bars, restaurants and galleries.
"I hope regulars find a casual and relaxed space at Marmalade Skies for a good drink, plenty of banter and some great music.”
