A CHRISTMAS light switch on event in Glasgow's Gorbals has been moved online at the last minute, due to worsening weather conditions.
Light Up The Gorbals, which was set to begin at 3.30pm today, will now be held on Facebook, via live streaming, because of Storm Barra.
THIS EVENT IS NOW ONLINE ONLY DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS

Please join us over on Facebook from 3.45pm to watch the fantastic G5 Kids Choir. @GivinitLaldie https://t.co/HlwAefzpt5 https://t.co/5GcAr9iEiu
Organised by the New Gorbals Housing Association, the event will see the Christmas tree lights turned on at the Gorbals Piazza.
The original plan would have seen performances by Givin' It Laldie's G5 Kids Choir, Strum for Life, and the Citizens Theatre Community Collective.
Instead, the Kids Choir will entertain guests online, before the light switch on.

A spokesperson from the News Gorbals Housing Association said: "We have had to make significant changes to this afternoon's event due to weather concerns.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to host an audience at the piazza for this year's Christmas light switch on. We know that this will be disappointing for many families who were looking forward to the event, but we hope that you will still be able to join us for a live stream instead.
"The G5 Kids Choir will now be performing their wonderful annual show for us from the safety of an inside venue, which will be available to watch from 3.45pm here on Facebook.
"Stay safe, and we hope to give you a warm welcome online later today."
