THE loved ones and friends of 'murdered' Amber Gibson yesterday paid poignant tribute to the teenager.
People close to the 16-year-old and those who wanted to remember her gathered in Chatelherault Park in Hamilton to honour her memory.
There were tears as balloons were released into the sky for Amber, including some bearing her initial.
Amber went missing from her home in Hamilton on Friday, November 28 and her body was discovered on the Sunday morning in a park not far from where she had last been seen.
The teenager was in the care of South Lanarkshire Council at the time of her death and the local authority said it had been supporting police with enquiries.
Amber's older brother was charged in connection with her death.
Connor Gibson, 19, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last Friday.
