SINGER Amy MacDonald has postponed her sold-out Hydro gig due to fears around rising numbers of Covid cases.

The Bishopbriggs star took to social media to share her disappointment. She said: "I’m so sorry to everyone - we tried everything to make the gig happen. We were left stuck between a rock and a hard place, but ultimately the safety of the fans and crew has to come first.

"This has been such a stressful week for me and all of my team and we’re so sorry not to be able to put on a show for you tomorrow. Have a wonderful Christmas, here’s hoping 2022 is a little brighter - we’ll see you in March."
