A Glasgow designer will appear next to Kirstie Allsop on Channel 4’s Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas.
The seasonal show sees crafters from across the UK competing for one of Kirstie’s trophies creating handmade Christmas decorations, gifts and food.
Dennistoun-based Sarah Amhad is taking part in the Gift episode of the series with some of her unique resin designs.
She said: “It was a really exciting experience, because I didn't know what to expect.
“When you watch TV you know there are certain ways they edit it to make it more exciting.

“I didn't realise what the behind the scenes would be like to get that type of exciting edits, but it was fun to be part of that.”
Sarah was selected for the programme thanks to her wonderful resin creations as part of her small business, Resin and Be Thankful.
Using waste materials, like shredded plastics from bottle lids and toys, she makes colourful jewellery, trinket trays, plant pots and keyrings.
“I wasn’t nervous, I’m actually a bit shameless, so I was just overly excited,” she added.
“I think I was more nervous while doing the crafts because you underestimate the amount of time that you have and then when you reach the end you're just like rushing.”

Sarah’s fellow contestants and the show's host contributed to the positive experience.
“The other contestants were amazing, they're all really nice, we've all become friends and we still keep in touch through social media.
“Kristie was really nice and fun to be around, very professional, when she came in to do all the host things or ad libs, it was very interesting.”
Sarah’s family is divided between Malaysia and Scotland, but they are all rooting for her.
“My Malaysian family doesn't really quite understand what the show is, but my family and friends here were all ecstatic when I told them, because it's one of their favourite shows for Christmas time.
“My mom in law also loves the show, so when I told her she was going crazy.”
The experience also left something to reflect on.
“My takeaway is not to take yourself too seriously.
“When I was on the episode, I really didn't want to put pressure on myself to make something perfect, I just wanted to have fun.”
