CONCERNS are growing for a pensioner who went missing nearly two weeks ago.

David Fletcher, 71, was last seen in Glasgow city centre on December 9.

He was dropped off by taxi on the Broomielaw, near the King George V Bridge, at around 7.15pm, but has not been seen since.

The pensioner, who lives in Giffnock, was reported missing on December 14.

Police Scotland is renewing an appeal to help trace him.

David is described as white, around 5ft 4ins in height with short grey hair.  When he was last seen he was wearing a dark-coloured overcoat and flat cap.

Inspector Ryan Curran said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries to trace David over the last week since he was reported missing.

“Sadly he remains missing at this time. It is extremely unusual for him to have been out of contact with family and friends for this length of time and we remain very concerned for his welfare.

“I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen David at any time since the evening of Thursday, 9 December to get in touch.

“Anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from around the Broomielaw area or anything which may show David’s movements is asked to pass this on.

Police ask if anyone has seen David, or who has any information on his whereabouts, to contact officers through 101 quoting reference 1285 of December 14.
