MO Johnston’s decision to leave Celtic for Rangers rocked Scottish football.
Here he is in action in 1986, three years before his momentous move from green to blue.
And here is the man who caused the shockwaves by signing Mo – (main picture) - Graeme Souness, pictured as he took the reins at the Ibrox club in 1986, aged 33.
He went on to guide Rangers to four Scottish titles in five years, ending an eight-year barren run.
Elsewhere in ’86, Terry Butcher of Rangers aims a header at goal between Celtic’s Derek Whyte and Paul McGugan.
And Terry and Roy Aitken launch the Modern Homes Exhibition at the SECC with the help of a bunch of balloons.
