A WOMAN will stand trial next year accused of attempting to extort money from a man.
Laura Knox, 34, is accused of putting the man in a state of fear and alarm at properties in Glasgow's Barlanark and Easterhouse as well as the area's police office.
Court papers state Knox did this with the intention of menacing the man on April 22 this year.
It is alleged Knox put him in in the state of fear and alarm with the apprehension of the police being contacted and for the purposes of extorting money.
This is said to have been done by stating to him that unless he gave money, she would contact the police.
Knox, of Barlanark, then allegedly tried to induce him to deliver the cash.
A trial has been fixed for early January next year.
