AN incident of wilful fire-raising took place in Cumbernauld last weekend involving a blue BMW X5.
Police are appealing for information following the incident which took place in a car park near Millcroft Road on Sunday, December 19 around 10.30pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and extinguished the fire safely.
No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a slim male in his 20s, possibly of eastern European origin.
He is around 5ft 8in tall with thick black hair and was dressed all in black with a sports jacket on.
It is believed the man ran off in the direction of Glenhove Road.
Detective Constable David Forde of Police Scotland's Coatbridge CID said: "Thankfully nobody was hurt as a result of this reckless act.
"We are looking for the public help to try and identify the person involved and anyone with information is asked to speak to police.
"I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who hasn't already spoken to police, or who saw anyone matching the description above to get in touch."
