BROADCASTER Michelle McManus has revealed that she had a very unwelcome “Christmas present” after testing positive for covid over the festive season.
The 41-year-old is pregnant with her second baby but said she and “bump” are feeling better after being laid low with the virus.
Michelle, a former Glasgow Times columnist, praised Glasgow’s NHS workers and said she was glad to be double vaccinated.

Posting on Twitter earlier today, the singer and presenter wrote: "Not quite the Christmas present I was hoping for but thankfully me & bump are now feeling a bit better.
"So very grateful that I had been double vaccinated.
"Thank you to our incredible nhsggc & all those responsible for the brilliant vaccine roll out across Scotland."
Michelle, whose second baby is due in the coming weeks, also posted a picture of her positive lateral flow test on social media.
Her followers wished her well in the replies and Michelle, who recently hosted the Glasgow Times’s Community Champions grand finale, made time to respond and reassure them she is on the mend.
