A MAN has been arrested and another man was taken to hospital following an alleged "large-scale disturbance" near Glasgow.
Officers responded to Dean Crescent in Hamilton after the alarm was raised at around 5.45am yesterday.
A 35-year-old man suffered "serious injuries" and was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed a 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the alleged incident.
He was released pending further investigations.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to reports of a large scale disturbance which resulted in a man suffering serious injuries at Dean Crescent, Hamilton about 5.45am on Saturday, January 1, 2021.
"The 35-year-old man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment. A 37-year-old man was arrested and released pending further enquiries."
