THE daughter of comedian Janey Godley has taken to twitter to update fans after she underwent major surgery today.
Godley was diagnosed with ovarian cancer late last year and had a full hysterectomy today.
Daughter Ashley Storrie, who is also comedian told fans today: "Mum is out of surgery and is in recovery.

Her time in the operating theatre went relatively well, and a full hysterectomy was achieved. Bunty has left the building.

Godley and her friends gathered last night to have a pre-op "hen party". She told fans: "My last night with my womb, we are having a pre op “hen party”. "I have been drawing Fallopian tubes on cards and pin the tumour on the ovary, we’re having cocktails of flat water and tomorrow at 7am I am off - thank you Scottish NHS and everyone here for lifting me up."

Fans got in touch to share their best wishes. One said: "Thanks for the update. Glad that Bunty has been successfully evicted, and now mum can concentrate on her recovery. Wishing her well."
