PEOPLE across Glasgow woke up to snow this morning - just days into the New Year.
A yellow weather warning had previously been put in place by the Met Office across large parts of the country.
Our photographer Colin Mearns headed out in the Southside of the city to take some snowy shots - including the below on Titwood Road, Crossmyloof.
Minard Road and Dimont Road in Shawlands were also pictured in the snowy weather, as well as trains at Crossmyloof station.
We previously reported that public transport including bus and trains have been disrupted this morning. Cars have also been stuck on the M8.
Young Freya Mearns, 10, was pictured helping her parents clear the snow off their car windscreen.
Glasgow City Council has said that the snowfall has been heavier than they expected but gritting is underway across the city.
They revealed that gritting started at 1am this morning on main roads and will continue until this evening.
