A TEENAGER was arrested by police after he was allegedly carrying an offensive weapon.
The incident happened around 4pm on Wednesday, January 5 on Bennan Square in the city's Govanhill.
Police officers said they were called to the scene after reports of a man in possession of an offensive weapon.
The 15-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident and reported to youth justice authorities.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4pm on Wednesday, 5 January, 2022 , police received a report of a male in possession of an offensive weapon on Bennan Square, Glasgow.
“Officers attended and a 15-year-old male has been arrested in connection with the incident. He will be reported to youth justice authorities.”
