A YOUTH footballer who has played for Celtic and Rangers had his court case for failing to stop at a red light thrown out.
Ciaran Dickson, 19, allegedly failed to comply with the indication to stop in Glasgow's Govanhill on December 28, 2019.
Dickson, of Erskine, then 17, was said to be behind the wheel of a vehicle with a private registration at the time.
The central midfielder was due to appear at Glasgow's Justice of the Peace court for the single charge. But, prosecutors did not go ahead with the case.
A spokesperson for the Crown stated: “The Procurator Fiscal received a report concerning a male aged 17, said to have occurred on 28/12/ 2019.
“After careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, including the available admissible evidence, the Procurator Fiscal decided that there should be no further proceedings.”
Dickson last played for Celtic's B team in September 2021, scoring in a Challenge Cup match against Greenock Morton.
