OVER 7,800 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Scotland overnight, according to the latest figures.
The Scottish Government confirmed 7,833 people have reported positive test results for Covid-19 since Friday, a decrease from yesterday's figure of 9,910 new cases.
This figure includes cases identified using either a first lateral flow device or a PCR positive test.
Of the cases recorded, 4,469 were identified through a PCR positive test.

In the last 24 hours, 21 deaths have been recorded bringing the death toll in Scotland under the daily measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 10,059.
There were 1,540 people in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19, with 46 patients in intensive care.
So far, Scottish vaccination figures stand at 4,397,912 people have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination, 4,064,533 have received their second dose, and 3,184,700 have received their third dose or booster.
