HOLLYWOOD star Leslie Grace has revealed the first look at Batgirl's costume as filming for the blockbuster continues in Glasgow. 

The 27-year-old actress, who is set to play the role of Barbara Gordon - also known as Batgirl - posted a picture of herself wearing the costume on social media yesterday.

Sharing the snap with her 1.2 million Instagram followers, Leslie captioned the image using a quote from DC's Batgirl: Year One. 

It reads: "I use their expectations against them. That will be their weakness. Not mine. Let them all underestimate me...

"And when their guard is down, and their pride is rising, let me kick their butts - Batgirl, Year One."

The image shows the masked vigilante's crime-fighting suit which is purple and gold. 

It comes as we previously reported that Glasgow's Trongate has been transformed into snowy Gotham for the upcoming film.

Streets in the Merchant City were given a festive makeover earlier this week with crews preparing the set with fake snow, Christmas markets, and decorations.

Leslie Grace was spotted on set in Trongate on Thursday filming scenes for the movie. 

The American actress can be seen enjoying a hot drink.

Batgirl is expected to be released this year.
