A MAN has been charged following the discovery of a toddler wandering the streets near Glasgow.
Cops responded to a concerned call and found the two-year-old in Maxwellton Street in Paisley on Sunday evening.
The boy was found safe and well, and a 55-year-old man was arrested and charged.
He will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: " Around 8.45pm on Sunday January 16 2022, police received a concern for person call in Maxwellton Street in Paisley.
"Officers attended a two-year-old boy was traced safe and well.
"A 55 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with this matter. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
"A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
