GLASGOW comedian Janey Godley has said she hopes to get back on stage soon amid cancer treatment.
The 61-year-old - who has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer - took to Twitter to provide fans with another update.
She told followers that the scar from her hysterectomy was healing, and that the next step for her is to embark on chemotherapy treatment.
The funnywoman plans to cut all her hair off so that when it does fall out it doesn't look like a "lion's mane".
She added: "I’ve asked people to stop telling me horror stories about chemotherapy.
"It will be about 18 or 19 weeks before all this is finished."

Janey is hopeful that doctors will her that the cancer has not spread so she can focus on getting back to work and on stage.
She said: “I’m looking forward to getting everything done, getting the chemotherapy, looking after my nutrition and my body and getting back on stage.
"I can’t wait to see how my hair grows in."
She thanked her fans for sending her supportive messages and is hopeful that their love will get her through the treatment.
