THE funeral of tragic Amber Gibson has taken place over the weekend.
The Daily Record reports that friends and family of the 16-year-old, who is also known as Amber Niven, said their final goodbyes at a service in Larkhall with family and friends in attendance.
Family attending was asked to make a donation to a charity by Amber's dad Craig who chose to support Eilidh's Rainbow which is based in the teenager's hometown of Hamilton. The charity provides a holiday home for bereaved parents and siblings after child loss.
According to the newspaper Amber's mum, Carol Niven posted a tribute on social media saying: "Amber Niven - oor wean,".
The teenager was first reported missing from her home in Hamilton on Friday, November 26 last year.
Her body was tragically discovered in Cadzow Glen close to the town centre two days later.
It is understood that Amber was due to turn 17 on New Year's Day.
