Reports on social media described a car sitting at traffic lights with hazards on, police presence, and the road being cordoned off.
Eyewitnesses reported the road was shut for several hours and only reopened around 9.45am on Friday.
The Glasgow Times was on the scene on Friday morning, but the road had already been cleared and traffic was back to normal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Queen Victoria Drive, Glasgow around 12.10am on Friday 28 January following a report of a two-vehicle crash.
“Four men, two aged 18 and two aged 19, and a 56-year-old woman, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
