A person has died after being struck by a train near Glasgow.
The British Transport Police has confirmed that a person was struck by a train between Glasgow Central and Paisley Gilmour Street at around 12.30 on Tuesday.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene and the incident is not being treated as suspicious
Scotrail also confirmed the news on Twitter.
As a result, the company is warning passengers that a number of services have been cancelled.

Train services between Glasgow Central and Ardrossan Harbour, Ayr, Gourock, Largs, and Wemyss Bay are affected.
The firm is also advising customers that they can use their tickets and Smartcards onboard McGill's buses.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "British Transport Police were called to Hillington East railway station at 12.30pm today (1 February) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Officers and paramedics are in attendance.
"Sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the procurator fiscal."
