PLANS for nearly 100 new homes in the Southside have been approved by Glasgow City Council.
Govan Housing Association’s proposal for the first phase of the new residential and commercial development at Water Row in Govan includes 92 two to four-bed properties for mid-market affordable rent.
Plans also include six commercial units.
The development, in Govan town centre, aims to reposition Govan as a popular, sought after riverside town within Glasgow and as a direct result, help reduce the inequalities and deprivation experienced by the existing community.
A communal open space that provides spaces for activities such as food growing, outdoor seating and eating and informal play will be built. Meanwhile, smaller pockets of green spaces will provide opportunities for retreat, quiet activities and observation.
Parking spaces and bike storage will be available.
