COPS are hunting for a man who made off with a three-figure sum after robbing a bookies with a firearm.
The thief yielded the weapon at staff at the Ladbrokes store in Burnbank Road, Hamilton.
The robbery took place at around 6.50pm last night.
Staff were left shaken after the incident, but were not injured and the weapon was not discharged.
The man is described as white, 5 ft 8in tall, slim build and wearing a face mask, dark upper clothing, light coloured trousers with dark patches and light coloured footwear.

He was wearing a baseball cap, had his hood up and was carrying a dark rucksack.
Cops are studying CCTV footage and are looking for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Clare Curley of Cambuslang CID, said: "Officers are checking CCTV and carrying out local enquiries but would also appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
"Information can be passed to officers via 101 quoting reference number 2855 of Saturday, February 5, 2022. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111."
