POPULAR fried chicken eatery Buck's Bar have revealed the news that Southsiders have been waiting to hear.
The bar has announced that their Mount Florida restaurant will open this weekend.
They posted the news on social media today, saying that they will be open for sit-in diners for their first week before launching their handy takeaway service.
Those wishing to get in there quick can expect details of how to book a table soon.
The chain already has venues in West Regent Street and Trongate, and it was announced in October that a third venue would be coming soon, replacing Italian eatery Sapori d'Italia on Cathcart Road.
Buck's recently teased food fans with a sneek preview of the new restaurant as bosses prepared for the grand opening and told their followers to "brace" themselves.
The bar is famed for serving their signature burgers in wooden trays - they're far too big for a normal plate - as well as sticky wings and a range of exotic hot sauces.
They have even gathered something of a celebrity following in recent months. Scotland footballer John McGinn has popped in for a bite, and more recently Mad Men Jon Hamm visited while filming Good Omens in Scotland.
