A POLICE vehicle collided with a BMW while on its way to an emergency call.
Officers were travelling along Alderman Road on Friday evening when the vehicle was involved in the crash with a BMW series 3.
The passenger of the police vehicle and the BMW driver were rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
There were no other injuries and officers are now pursuing enquiries into the crash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.40pm on Friday, February 11, 2022, a marked police vehicle was travelling to an emergency call when it was involved in a crash with a BMW 3-Series car while on Alderman Road at its junction with Dyke Road in Glasgow.
“The female passenger from the police vehicle was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she was treated for injuries and later discharged.
"The 29-year-old male driver of the BMW was also taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“No-one else was injured as a result of the crash and the road was closed while the cars were recovered.
“Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.”
